Nutrition Services

You have heard the phrase “you are what you eat”. But with so many choices, dietary fads, and emotional dysregulation from mental illness or substance abuse, how can you even start to choose what is right for you.

Let our Dietary Consultant sit down with you and your family and work on a meal plan.

Services include child and adolescent meal planning.

In 2017, The Annie E. Casey Foundation published the State Trends In Child Well-being. Arizona came in #46 out of 50 for a State to State comparison f overall child well-being (you can find the link here:http://www.aecf.org/m/resourcedoc/aecf-2017kidscountdatabook.pdf).

Nutrition and overall health of the child was measured. Our Dietetic Technician is well trained and knowledgeable of the current trends and needs of childhood nutrition.

Nutrition planning is also important in mental health and substance abuse.

Psychology Today and other Mental Health groups, have posted several articles on the importance of the Gut-Brain and Mental Illness Connection (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/evolutionary-psychiatry/201404/the-gut-brain-connection-mental-illness-and-disease) .

SAMHSA has several articles showing a correlation between nutrition and substance abuse and mental illness in adults.
