We treat the entire family, child, adolescent and adult services are available.
Psychiatric Evaluations are to determine the need for medication and discuss treatment services which may be helpful in your path to wellness. A pill does not fix it all.
We offer:
- ADHD evaluations for all ages
- Depression and Anxiety Screenings
- Bipolar disorder treatment options
- Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders treatment
- Med bridges for non-clinic clients (Mondays only)
What to expect from the EVALUATION:
Typically an evaluation will last about 60 minutes. We will go over your past history of your illness, current ways in which your illness is impairing your daily function and what remedies have been tried/failed/successful in the past.
Family and friends are welcome to join, but our Practitioners want to meet with you first. After all, this is your journey to wellness.
We may include your loved one as part of the evaluation in certain cases such as Autism Spectrum disorders, Cognitive function delays, Traumatic Brain injuries, and definitely in cases of guardianship.
Children and Adolescents always will have their parent or guardian as part of the entire evaluation. We may ask the adult to leave the room at times. This is because we have found (especially with teens) that they tend to be more open and honest with our Providers when the “adults” are not around.
In all cases, all information is strictly confidential, we take the responsibility of discrete and confidential treatment very seriously.
Per State and Government law, we are mandated reporters. If we suspect that anyone is in danger of harming themselves or others, we must report.
What to expect from a FOLLOW UP:
You and your provider will discuss your medications, efficacy of treatment and discuss long term goals. This is a great time to bring in your loved one who may be able to see your progress from a different angle. Medication questions and concerns may be brought up at this time, labs may be ordered and medications may be adjusted. This service is for those who have had an evaluation with a provider at our clinic and is continuing psychiatric services with a primary psychiatric provider.
What to expect from a MED BRIDGE:
This is an unique service offered for patients in the community who do not see our psychiatric providers. It may be used by clients whose current provider is out of town, clients who may have missed an appointment at their regular clinic or just realized that they are out of meds but their primary provider is not available to see them soon enough for a refill.
Most medications are safe, but if the provider feels that a medication refill will be unsafe for the patient, they do have the rights to refuse the refill request, payment in full is still required for the time spend on med review.
You may walk in but, a call ahead will guarantee you to be seen. The visit will typically last 10-15min
We only offer this service as a courtesy to the community. If a patient comes in more than 4 times per year, has not seen their primary provider in past 90 days, have been without medication for more than 15days or, requests two med bridges in a row, we will ask that a full psychiatric evaluation is set up with our providers instead of a med bridge.
